Supplier policy
Draft prepared for OzzBaba. Have a lawyer review it for every country you operate in before relying on it.
This policy is the agreement that applies when you sell on OzzBaba. It sits alongside the Terms of use, Prohibited and restricted items and Trade Assurance terms.
1. Your business and verification
- You must be a registered business, or a sole trader allowed to trade, in your country.
- Give your correct legal name, country and business registration or tax number (for example an ABN, GSTIN or VAT number). The label follows your country.
- Verification is reviewed by our team and can be refused or removed. You must tell us promptly if your details change. Providing false information leads to removal.
- Keep your contact details current so buyers and our team can reach you.
2. Your listings
- Describe products accurately: title, photos, specifications, materials, origin, MOQ, price tiers, currency and lead time. Photos must be yours or ones you have the right to use.
- Choose the correct currency. Prices exclude tax. The tax added at checkout follows the rules shown on the order.
- Only list goods you own, make, or are authorised to sell and can deliver. Do not list prohibited or restricted items.
- Do not misuse keywords, list the same item many times, or post misleading discounts or "from" prices.
- Keep stock, prices and lead times up to date. Archive items you cannot supply.
3. Quotes and orders
- Quote honestly and only what you can supply. A quote you send is an offer you must honour for the stated period.
- Confirm or decline new orders promptly. Confirming an order is a commitment to supply it.
- Ship what was ordered, in the quantity, quality and time promised. Update the order status and give a tracking number when you ship.
- Communicate through OzzBaba messages so there is a record. Do not ask buyers to pay outside the platform.
4. Tax, customs and legal compliance
You are responsible for charging and reporting tax correctly, for export and customs paperwork, licences, labelling, safety standards, consumer and product laws, and for the legality of selling in the buyer's country. The tax estimates shown on OzzBaba are a convenience, not tax advice. Issue valid tax invoices where your law requires.
5. Shipping
Choose a verified shipping company or arrange delivery yourself. Pack goods properly. You are responsible for goods until the carrier collects them. You remain responsible for delivery to the buyer unless the order terms say otherwise.
6. Payment and Trade Assurance
Where Trade Assurance applies, funds are held and released as set out in the Trade Assurance terms. You must provide accurate payout details when payouts are enabled. We may delay or reverse a payout for a dispute, refund, suspected fraud, sanctions or legal reasons. Fees, if any, are shown before they apply.
7. Returns, refunds and disputes
You agree to the Refunds, returns and disputes process. Respond to disputes within the time shown. Decisions made under that process bind you for orders paid through Trade Assurance.
8. Performance and quality
We may measure response time, on-time shipping, dispute rate and ratings. Poor performance, repeated disputes, counterfeit goods or fraud can lead to listing removal, held payouts, suspension or closure.
9. Intellectual property
You promise that your listings do not infringe anyone's rights. If we receive a valid complaint we may remove the listing. See the Intellectual property policy.
10. Using buyer information
You may use a buyer's personal information only to fulfil that order, to meet legal duties and to answer their questions. You must not sell it, add the buyer to marketing lists without consent, or share it with others except your carrier. You must keep it secure and follow the privacy laws that apply to you.
11. Ending
You can stop selling at any time after finishing open orders. We may suspend or end your account under the Terms of use. Open orders and disputes continue to be handled after closure.
